Steph Neary is a self taught artist. She creates heirloom influenced work using vintage and reclaimed materials. Since 2006 she has lived in Pittsburgh, PA crafting her signature style of fine art and craft work. Inspired by the history of folklore, child's play, traditional craftwork, and underground comix.
She has worked as an arts educator, sign painter, community organizer, illustrator, puppet maker, artist mentor and set designer with; City of Pittsburgh - CitiParks, Pittsburgh Zine Fair, Giant Eagle Market District, Boys & Girls Club of America, Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh, Handmade Arcade, Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, VaultArt Studio, Bunker Projects, Pittsburgh Public Theater, Prototype PGH, Winchester Thurston School, VisitPittsburgh, The Glitterbox Theater and Mattress Factory.
Currently, Steph Neary is the director of VaultArt Studio, a progressive art studio in Pittsburgh’s Garfield neighborhood and creates artwork out of her home studio.
